Olivia’s senior session was truly something special! She’s a Class of 2026 senior from Springfield High School, and she had been following my work since sophomore year. When she reached out and told me she had always wanted me to take her senior photos, I was honestly so honored — and even more excited to finally make it happen!
She and her mama were the absolute sweetest during her September session. Olivia showed up with the best energy, the most joyful smile, and the kindest heart. We had such a fun, easy afternoon together — and we captured so many gorgeous images that perfectly reflect her personality.
Starting at Toledo Botanical Garden
The Toledo Botanical Garden is easily one of my favorite locations for senior photos in the Toledo area, and it was the perfect setting for Olivia’s session. This spot is unmatched when it comes to variety — you can get blooming gardens, tall grasses, dreamy pathways, water, and artsy backdrops all within a few minutes of each other. It feels like multiple locations in one!
Olivia started in a beautiful outfit that photographed perfectly in the warm September light. Just like many seniors, she was a little nervous at first (mostly excited!), but after those first few sneak peeks on the back of my camera, her confidence completely blossomed. You could actually see her relax and step into the moment — and the photos show it!

One of the best things about shooting at Toledo Botanical Garden for senior portraits is how easily we can change up the vibe without ever leaving the property. Olivia rocked each outfit with so much grace and personality, and every spot we visited gave us something totally different.
We moved through the gardens, tree-lined areas, and open spaces to create a gallery full of variety — soft and natural, bold and bright, playful and fun. It all came together effortlessly and made her final gallery feel full, cohesive, and uniquely her.

My Favorite Moments With Olivia
One of my favorite things about Olivia was how comfortable she became as the session went on. Her sweet personality, her bright smile, and the way she interacted with the camera made the entire morning feel so relaxed. She brought such good energy with her, and it showed in every pose, every laugh, every shot.
And I have to mention — watching her mom support her was the cutest thing ever. Their relationship was so genuine and warm. It made the session feel even more meaningful.
One of my favorite questions I ask seniors is if they have any advice for incoming freshmen — and she shared such thoughtful words:
“Don’t be someone you are not to try to be in a group of friends. Those people aren’t for you, and that is okay! The right people will make you happy being you.”
She couldn’t be more right. Hearing seniors reflect on what they’ve learned is always one of my favorite parts of photographing this age group, and Olivia’s advice is a reminder every high schooler needs to hear.
