Olivia’s senior session was one for the books! We started at Toledo Botanical Garden, where the morning golden hour light gave us the most beautiful glow. She brought three amazing outfits and totally leaned into the process, even when we ran into a Jeep parade that sent us to Downtown Perrysburg instead of Downtown Toledo. And honestly? It worked out perfectly!

Starting at Toledo Botanical Garden

The Toledo Botanical Garden is one of my favorite spots for senior portraits in the Toledo area, and it was the perfect backdrop for Olivia’s first outfit—a beautiful, flowy white summer dress. She admitted she was a little nervous at the beginning, but after seeing a few sneak peeks on the back of my camera, her confidence started to shine through.

We also grabbed a few photos of her in a white crop top and blue floral skirt among the garden paths before heading downtown.

A Jeep Fest Surprise & A Pivot to Perrysburg

Our original plan was Downtown Toledo, but when we pulled up, we found ourselves basically in the middle of a Jeep parade! (Only in Toledo, right?) Instead of stressing, we pivoted to Downtown Perrysburg—and it turned out to be the best happy accident.

Olivia and her grandpa even told me afterward that they loved the Perrysburg photo spots more than our original plan! Sometimes the unplanned moments really do create the best memories.

Downtown Perrysburg Vibes

For her final outfit, Olivia changed into jeans and a floral tube top, which gave off the perfect casual summer vibe. My favorite photos of the day were in front of a clean white garage door—it was such a simple backdrop, but it let her personality shine and the outfit pop.

Words of Wisdom from Olivia

One of my favorite things about senior sessions is hearing advice from the seniors themselves. Olivia shared such thoughtful words for freshmen starting their high school journey:

"Just take it one day at a time!"

She's absolutely correct. Thinking of your entire high school career all on your first day is overwhelming. Take it class by class—you’ll find your groove and your friends sooner than you think.
